1.   Introduction

Young Writers Club aims at promoting a love of reading and writing across the school. Students meet regularly with the native English teachers (NETs) and the local English teachers to explore students’ creativity and critical thinking in reading and writing through various challenging tasks. Writing competitions are arranged to expose students to more experiences outside the school.

2.   Objectives

i) To provide a platform for students to polish their writing skills;

ii) To nurture and cultivate students’ creative flair. Students are actively involved in expressing their thoughts as dynamic writers;

iii) To get exposure to various themes and genres of text.

Students are working on creative writing tasks.	NETs and LETs facilitate creativity through writing prompts and timed writing exercises.
Students concentrate on expressing themselves through story writing.	NETs give feedback on students’ work.
